We’re so excited to participate in Give Local York, York County’s first ever day of online giving. Starting on May 4th at midnight, this is our chance to show York what we’re made of and how much we love our community. Our donation page is live!

So what is Give Local York?

Hosted by the York Federal Fellows Alumni, Give Local York is a 24-hour online giving event that allows you to donate a minimum of $10 to your favorite non-profit organization! For every dollar that is donated Give York and their sponsors will put together prize money for the givers and receivers of the donations! How awesome!

When is it?

5/9/2018 midnight – 11:59 PM

How do I get involved and why should I donate?

When the event starts all you have to do as a donor is visit: www.givelocalyork.com and search for ‘Communities In Schools Of Pennsylvania’. Minimum donations are $10 but there is not a maximum amount of donations you can give. Be sure to select your favorite organization to donate and the more money that is given the more chances you have at prizes! Non-profit organizations are also eligible for prizes.

The mission of Communities in Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Communities In Schools Of Pennsylvania helps kids in schools to stay in school. We have seven site coordinators that work in six different schools in York such as:

  • William Penn High School
  • Phineas Davis Elementary School
  • Alexander D. Goode Elementary School
  • Hannah Penn Middle School
  • Jackson Elementary School
  • McKinley Elementary School

Every donation goes towards children in each of these schools to help keep them on the path to success!
