JOB TITLE: Site Coordinator

LOCATION: Susquehanna Township School District

FSLA STATUS: Exempt – Full Time

JOB SUMMARY: The Site Coordinator will be responsible for direct student academic, attendance and behavioral, as well as, social support services. Following the CIS model under supervision of the Sr. Director of Programs and Embedded Affiliates, the Site Coordinator provides an effective conduit of information and direct support to help students reach their full potential and achieve in school.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementation of the Communities In Schools model of integrated student services:

  • To implement the CIS model, the Site Coordinator will build and lead a site team that works closely with school administrators, staff and teachers
  • The Site Coordinator will lead a team to execute an annual needs assessment and develop the site plan for the assigned site.  They may at times also provide support to other sites completing assessments and site plans. The plan will include measurable objectives as well as procedures for delivering school-wide services, targeted and sustained services. All services will be monitored and adjusted to maximize effectiveness and impact on a quarterly basis
  • Coordinating program reporting for the site to the district, funding partners as well as to the CISPA State Office will be required
  • The Site Coordinator will provide supervision to Student Support Specialists (when applicable), social work interns (when applicable), and the supervision and/or coordination of volunteers at the school site
  • The Site Coordinator will facilitate Tier I (whole student population) programs according to identified school/community needs based on needs assessment, and facilitate Tier II/III (targeted population) focus groups, individualized case management to approximately 10% of the school population, and programs as established by the Sr. Director of Programs and Embedded Affiliates and CIS protocol

STRATEGIC DECISION MAKING

  • As an ambassador of CISPA, the Site Coordinator is responsible for representing CISPA through communication with school district personnel, youth, families, volunteers, and community partners
  • As needed the Site Coordinator will present cases for additional support to school staff and the Sr. Director of Programs and Embedded Affiliates as necessary
  • The Site Coordinator will also participate actively as a member of the CISPA team, focused on the whole organization
  • Finally, the Site Coordinator will successfully accomplish the goals and objectives of the CISPA initiative in day-to-day operations

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology or related field required, Master’s preferred
  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience within public education or community-based organizations with children
  • Knowledge of Central PA, specifically Susquehanna Township School District, and the surrounding area preferred
  • Experienced in leadership for on-site coordination of service providers, volunteers, parents, students, and school staff preferred
  • The ability to work effectively with a broad range of representatives from public and private service organizations, public education, neighborhood organizations, parent groups, and local government
  • Ability to work with diverse educational and social issues to assist students in achieving academically and socially
  • Experience with obtaining and tracking of information, as well as the use of data management systems
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage details and work independently
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness, enthusiasm, and high energy
  • Criminal background check, FBI and child abuse clearances, TB testing and Mandated Reporter Certification required
  • Bi-lingual preferred

POSITION STRUCTURE:

Standard schedule is 40 hours per week 12 months a year.  Some weekend and evening work may be required. The schedule may vary according to programmatic needs, events, and activities.
