Jo-Ann comes from post-secondary education background. At the college level, she worked with students from varied and expansive backgrounds, including first generation students, OIF and OEF veterans, traditional and non-traditional students, and adult learners. In a variety of roles, Jo-Ann saw first-hand the number of students arriving to college unequipped and unprepared to succeed. Lacking items such as winter coats, seasonally appropriate clothing, money for textbooks and school supplies, food, and basic hygiene products. Jo-Ann leveraged this experience as a CISPA Site Coordinator working to guide high school students toward developing personalized pathways to graduation. She now utilizes this insight to help research grants and acknowledge donors for it is the generosity of both that allows CISPA to continue its mission of supporting our students and their families. When not working, Jo-Ann enjoys painting with oils, contemplating life at the beach, and taking car trips to nowhere.
