Luke Gonzalez joined the CISPA team in 2024 as the Student Re-Engagement Specialist at Greater Johnstown Middle School. Luke was born and raised in Johnstown. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a self-designed major in which he took over 40 credits in psychology, sociology, and history. Luke began his employment as a Therapeutic Support Staff, working in a multitude of schools. Afterward, he spent more than 5 years as a County Caseworker II, working as both a Forensic and Homeless Caseworker at Cambria County Behavioral Health/Intellectual Disabilities/Early Interventions Programs. Luke began a career as a Mobile Crisis Intervention Specialist shortly after. More recently, he was employed at the National Suicide & Crisis Hotline (988). He looks forward to making connections and building relationships. Luke is very compassionate and empathetic. He uses this, his previous knowledge, and continuing education to help students be motivated to come to school, with the goal of inspiring them to give back to society.
